When the Morada family moved from the Midwest to Northern California, there was something distinct about Dublin that attracted them. Twelve years ago, John and Patty Morada were young professionals with even younger kids. Their Midwest sensibilities for a balanced home life with career growth translated well into the Dublin community values of The New American Backyard.
Today, John is an entrepreneur and Patty is a teacher in the school system. And their kids are excelling at studies as they head into careers in engineering. It seems that unexplained something twelve years ago happened to be the bond between family and community.

The Indian celebration of colors, love and spring is called Holi. The first time I was asked to participate was quite the eye awakening experience. Apparently, I misunderstood something about the handful of colorful powder that becomes part of your wardrobe at some point during the festivities.

It's these sort of adventurous memories that makes the diversity of Dublin an incredibly rewarding place to live. I truly believe the epicenter of Dublin's inviting community is the diversity of life, education, opinion, food, and dialogue.
To live here means to try new things.
To live here means to think new ways.
To live here means to see new colors.
And for my role on City Council, to live in Dublin means to protect that which is most dear - our family and the values of this community.

I talk a lot about balance. Often the words balance and compromise are intertwined. Popular media gets it wrong all time. Balance is the intentional outcome of equitable opinion and agreement. Compromise is one of many methods used to achieve balance. One is a goal and the other an action.

Balance is what I strive for in the home, in the City Council Chambers and in our policies. I uphold this virtue, and if voted in for District 3, I will be a balance of proper judgement and unwavering unity.
I chose to run for City Council at the encouragement of my neighbors from all ends of Dublin.
And I choose to serve because there is an inherent meaningfulness to improving Dublin and the lives of our neighbors.
